Safe Space Training
November 13, 2009 | 8:30 am — 12:00 pm
UGA Safe Space is a campus-wide initiative offering a visible message of inclusion, acceptance, and support to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people in the University community. The program offers participants a 3.5 hour orientation to raise awareness and knowledge of LGBT issues and to suggest ways to serve as an ally to LGBT individuals. Following the orientation, participants receive a Safe Space decal to display in their work or living space. To register, go to http://www.uga.edu/safespace/.
