GAAME has a weekend program which focuses on leadership and leadership development. During this weekend, admitted students will meet with distinguished faculty, prominent alumni, and leading members of the student body. Students will also participate in various extracurricular activities that the University has to offer.

GAAME is part of the University System of Georgia’s African-American Male Initiative (AAMI®). AAMI is a project launched in 2002 by the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia (USG) focusing on the enrollment, retention, and graduation of African-American Males. For more information, please read the press release about UGA’s African-American Male Initiative.
